FRANKFURT SUMMER SCHOOL 2021

Gender Studies Track:

“DECOLONISATION AND FEMINISMS”

 

We would like to cordially invite you to apply to the Gender Studies track of the Frankfurt Summer School 2021 under the title ‘Decolonisation and Feminisms’ in Frankfurt am Main (Germany), organized by the Cornelia Goethe Center and GRADE Center Gender.

We organize two modules, each lasting two weeks respectively, for advanced master students provides insight into theoretical approaches of current feminist theory focusing on postcolonial/decolonial thought. Seminar presentations and discussions are accompanied by lighthouse lectures and practical experiences like face-to-face encounters with local activists and a conducted walking tour along Frankfurt’s colonial ‘sights’.

 

The first module of the Gender Studies Track of the Summer School ‚Feminist Movements, Practices and Decolonisation‘ will take place from August 2 to August 13. The second module ‚De/Postcolonial Feminist Theory and Activism‘ will take place from August 16 to August 27. The seminars will be held in English and the program includes excursions and study tours as well as an optional German language course.

The applications are open for (advanced) Master Students until April 30, 2021.
