Gender studies and those doing gender studies are under attack from the extreme Right as well as from authoritarian and anti-feminist actors and institutions. What does this mean for those doing their qualification work in gender studies or on topics related to gender, feminism, racism, coloniality, diversity, sexuality, dis_ability and other topics that are framed as unscientific and ideological? How can we prepare for attacks, ensure our safety and wellbeing and protect of our private data? What support structures exist if an attack takes place? How can we can strengthen the resilience of gender studies in both research and teaching?
In this meeting for knowledge-sharing within GRADE Center Gender, we will address these questions and other related concerns collectively. Dr. Katharina Hoppe, director of GRADE Center Gender, and Dr. Johanna Leinius, scientific manager of the Cornelia Goethe Center for Gender Studies, will present existing guidelines and share best-practice-examples before we open a space for mutual and solidarity-based exchange and dialogue.
Registration opens on July 15, 2025. Please register until October 31, 2026 via the registration form.
