Call for applications for four teaching assignments in Gender Studies at Goethe University Frankfurt for the Winter Semester 2026/2027

The Faculty of Social Sciences at Goethe University Frankfurt has four open teaching assignments for bachelor-level seminars in Gender Studies (subject to funding approval) for the winter semester 2026/2027.

The proposed bachelor seminars should be introductory in nature and cover Modules 1 (Introduction to Gender Studies), 2 (Interdisciplinarity, Critique of Science, and Methods in Gender Studies), or 5 (Current Debates and Theories in Gender Studies) of the B.A. minor in Gender Studies. The module descriptions can be found here.

In principle, it is possible to apply for two teaching assignments. A prerequisite for application is a Master’s degree in a social science field. Teaching experience is desirable. Applicants must not be employed by the Goethe University.

The teaching assignment comprises 2 SWS (2 weekly teaching hours per semester) and is remunerated at a rate of 45€ per SWS. The proposed courses should take place either during the semester in off-peak time slots (Mon–Fri 08:00–10:00 or 16:00–20:00), as block seminars on weekends, or as intensive block courses during the lecture-free period.
