GRADE Center Gender

The GRADE Center Gender is an organization within GRADE, the central scientific platform at Goethe-University for the interdisciplinary qualification of young scientists in the early stages of their career. On November 1st 2016 the committee of the Goethe-University decided to establish the GRADE Center Gender as an offer for the promotion of young scientists with a focus on Gender Studies. The content of the program of the Center Gender, one of currently thirteen established GRADE Centers, is planned and carried out by the Cornelia Goether Center for Women’s and Gender Studies.

By now twenty-one workshops, nine lecture series, four fireside chats, two summer schools and one digital winter school have taken place. In the coming summer semester 2021 another three workshops, a lecture series and one summer school are planned. This term’s lecture series focuses on current issues and debate on Intersectionality under the title ‘Intersectionality in a Crossfire?’.
